         Solutions Unit

    Students will explain the differences between the three different types of solutions

    Students will describe how to make a supersaturated solution

    Students will describe how to increase the rate of dissolving.

    Students will define molarity in terms of its mathematical formula

    Students will calculate moles, liters, or molarity of a given solution

    Students will explain how to make a solution

    Students will define an acid and base according to the Arrhenius definition

    Students will review the correct way to write the names and formulas for acids and bases

    Students will describe and list properties that pertain to acids and bases

    Students will explain the correlation to strength of acids and bases to pH and pOH scale

    Students will calculate pH, pOH, [H+], and [OH-]
