Thank you for visiting my website!
2017-2018 is my 25th year in education and my tenth year in Sunnyvale ISD. I taught 15 years in Mesquite ISD before coming to Sunnyvale. I have taught first, second, third and fifth grade. I was the Instructional Specialist for Sunnyvale Elementary for one year before becoming the Assistant Principal for SES. I have my masters degree in Elementary Education and an Educational Administration certificate.
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Ernie, for 24 years. We have two amazing boys, Beau, who is 20, and Luke, who is 18. They are both attending college. Our family loves being part of the RAIDER family and we greatly enjoy being a part of our RAIDER NATION.I believe that each student is unique in their own way. They need a safe, caring, and challenging atmosphere to grow emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is our job as educators to meet each child where they are and guide them toward reaching their full potential. It is important for students to develop self-esteem, sensitivity, creativity, and respect for others. In our ever changing world, it is important to develop critical thinking, communication and problem solving skills while working collaboratively with others but yet also the ability to work individually as well. The ability to change and grow are essential. Education is a collaborative effort, and the relationships between a school and its' community are essential.
