As we begin a new school year, I'm excited about the opportunity to serve the students and parents of Sunnyvale ISD. My desire is to assist administrators, teachers, and parents in meeting the unique needs of students.
As a district, we are committed to providing quality instruction that provides students with the academic and decision-making skills that are vital for life after high school. In the area of curriculum, there are many changes taking place as we seek to provide instruction that aligns with state standards and challenges students to think, analyze, and extend their learning. As we seek to develop future-ready graduates, our focus is also on the development of communication, critical thinking, creativity, and collaborative skills. Our three campuses, comprised of amazing teachers and students, are prepared and marching toward a successful future!
My background, in general and special education, has allowed me the experience of tailoring programs to meet individual student needs. I graduated from Baylor University and received a Masters degree from Texas A&M Commerce. I'm currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas. In teaching, serving as a diagnostician, and in holding district leadership roles, I have been given the opportunity to work with parents and teachers in developing programs for students. I'm honored to be in Sunnyvale and look forward to partnering with you to provide optimal programs for students.
On a personal note, my husband, Chad, and I have been married for 19 years and have been blessed with three wonderful children. We enjoy spending time as a family and serving in our local church.
Thank you for the chance to work with your children, and please let me know if I can be of assistance.
