2017-2018 School Supply List

    STEM 1: Principles of Applied Engineering

    General Materials

    We will be utilizing a variety of instructional and learning techniques in this class, and although many tools will be provided, students will need to obtain a few supplies in order to complete some STEM related activities and projects.

    • 2 composition books
    • Writing utensils/markers/scissors
    • Student will need some supplies when they design a science experiment for their high altitude balloon and for the Google Science Fair Project. Expenses should be kept minimal and should be shared equally amongst their team.

    OTHER STEM Materials:

    Parents may choose to send $20 per semester or $40 per year to cover STEM supply materials. If parents would rather not pay the fee and would like to order and pay for their child's supplies, their child will need the following items this school year: 

    • mini glue sticks for hot glue guns
    • 3X3 sticky notes
    • duct tape
    • filament for XYZ 1.0 Davinci and Makerbot 3D printers
    • Assorted Balsawood by Midwest
    • Aluminum foil
    • ziplock baggies
    • 5 CO2 Cartidges (8 grams each)
    • CO2 Drag Racing Kit from Pitsco

    STEM: Scientific Research and Design

    General Materials

    We will be utilizing a variety of instructional and learning techniques in this class, and although many tools will be provided, students will need to obtain a few supplies in order to complete some STEM related activities and projects.

    • 2 composition books
    • Writing utensils/markers/scissors
    • Student designed experiment supplies (Based on students experiment)

    STEM Materials:

    Parents may choose to send $20 per semester or $40 per year to cover STEM supply materials. If parents would rather not pay the fee and would like to order and pay for their child's supplies, their child will need the following items this school year: 

        • mini glue sticks for hot glue guns
        • 3X3 sticky notes
        • duct tape
        • filament for XYZ 1.0 Davinci and Makerbot 3D printers
        • Assorted Balsawood by Midwest
        • Aluminum foil

        • 1 double pack of AeroTech F Size Rocket Motors (TBD durin rocket competition)

        • Other STEM lab materials as needed for small STEM labs like strawberries for DNA lab etc.

     


    STEM: Engineering Design and Problem Solving

    General Materials

    We will be utilizing a variety of instructional and learning techniques in this class, and although many tools will be provided, students will need to obtain a few supplies in order to complete some STEM related activities and projects.

    • Portfolio Supplies- Students will be making a portfolio for admission to University of Texas Dual Credit Program for the Spring- Students not participating in dual credit will still submit a semester portfolio for a grade.
    • 5 subject spiral

    We will be utilizing a variety of instructional and learning techniques in this class, and although many tools will be provided, students will need to obtain a few supplies in order to complete some STEM related activities and projects.

    • 5 subject spiral

    • a mouse for a computer (Optional)
