Degrees and Certifications:
Hello, my name is Jay Campos and I am extremely excited to be back to the Raider family this year!
I was born in El Salvador and began learning English in late Elementary when my family moved to Mesquite, TX. I have a degree in Spanish with the focus in Education and a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University- Commerce. Apart from teaching Spanish, I enjoy spending time with God, family, and friends, watching my children grow intellectually (home and school), staying physically active, living a Christian life, traveling, eating a vast variety of foods, being spontaneous, Soccer, Youtube, and experiencing new adventures in different areas of my life .
I started teaching and coaching 13 years ago and to this day, still enjoy every minute of it. I am highly interested in the teaching of the Spanish and English languages, as it allows me to interact with people from other cultures and to transmit mine to them. I strongly consider language a fundamental tool to establish social bonds. I really enjoy my profession as I am able to experience different backgrounds and languages through the people I am teaching and coaching to. It is really an amazing and deeply rewarding experience, and let's not forget, always interesting!
I have 3 beautiful and amazing kids, which always keep me on my toes. My twin boys, Skyler and Tristan, will be attending Sunnyvale IS and entering the 5th grade. They are two highly active 10 year old boys that love the outdoors and to no ones surprise, love playing soccer. My little princes, Bella Rose, will be turing 4 years old this December. She is sweet, smart, beautiful, and sassy all at the same time. I am one highly favored and blessed individual!
I will be teaching Spanish 1, ESL, coaching the boys' soccer teams and the boys' cross country team this year. I am looking forward to an amazing experience in the classroom, field, and track! #RaiderPride
