What is the SHAC?
School Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) is a committee made up of school personnel, parents, and community members appointed by the school board. SHACs strengthen the connection between health and learning and serve as a liaison between the community and school district in ensuring that the local community values are reflected in the district's health education.
