• CLASSROOM INFORMATION FOR SPANISH 1 & 2

      SPANISH 2

In Spanish 2, you will have lots of opportunity to practice your listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills.  Since you have already learned your basic vocabularies and grammar in Spanish 1, now, it's time to use them to communicate with others. And because the number of Spanish speakers in the U.S. is growing so rapidly, being able to communicate in Spanish is becoming important in almost every career.

In Spanish 2, we will use the textbook Avancemos level 2.  The book focuses on more advance vocabulary words such as boleto de ida y vuelta, estar empatado, seguir una dieta..For grammar, we will learn more than just conjugating regular present tense verbs.  Spanish 2 grammar from the textbook is pretty intense.  You will learn some verb tenses that we don't even have in the English language, therefore making it challenging.  So, I ask you to keep up with assignments, be engaged, and ASK for help IMMEDIATELY when needed. We will follow the chapters in the textbook closely this year.  YOU WILL HAVE A SUCCESSFUL YEAR IN SPANISH 2!!!
