    High School Project

    Update - March 25, 2020

    Seniors that were continuing to participate in the HSP as of March 6 will be allowed to complete their High School Project. I know that many of you have completed your physical project. For those of you that were near completion or had not started your physical project , we can communicate via email or phone to come up with ideas on how to finish your project. 

    I met with the SHS administration and we developed the following plan to address HSP presentations.

    • HSP will be presented virtually to a judge via Google Hangouts.
    • Students will create a FOLDER with their name and drop all of their documents in a specific order in the folder. FOLDER will be shared with Mrs. Brooks who will then share with the judge assigned to the student or students if working in a group. Continue to complete all parts of your project and save as PDFs. (Table of Contents, Letter to the Judges, Letter of Intent, Poster, Mentor Bio, Research Paper, Activity Log, Mentor Log, Self-Evaluation, Enhanced Contents)
    • Continue to have contact by email or virtually with your mentor. Record parts or all of your virtual meeting with your mentor to show to judges when you present.

    I understand that some of you may elect not to complete the High School Project and I totally understand, given the circumstances. Please help me by emailing me as soon as possible if you decide.

    I will continue to work out the specifics with secure judges using this new method of presenting. Please check your SCHOOL EMAIL for updates concerning HSP and other senior events. I will also update via REMIND for all senior activities.

    COMPLETE 3 ONLINE FORMS TO CONTINUE HSP - All 3 forms should be completed outside of the school day with student and parent or mentor present!

    If a student completed during the school day, they will need to complete AGAIN by Friday, October 25.

    Facility Use Request Form

    Must be submitted and APPROVED before beginning HSP

    Students must sign-up for date to use facilities using this link

    Students must complete Facilities Use Request Form
    (This form may be picked up in Room 302)

    Form must be completed and turned in at least 30 days prior to the event.
    Admin will approve or deny request at least 20 days prior to the event.
     

     

    Fundraisers or Drives Request Form -
    ONLY 2 per month at SISD

    NO Collection of funds will be permitted at SISD

    Must be submitted and APPROVED before beginning HSP

    Students must sign-up for date to promote a fundraiser or drive using this link

    Students must complete Fundraisers or Drives Request Form 
    (This form may be picked up in Room 302)

    Form must be completed and turned in at least 30 days prior to the event.
