    The U.S. Navy Band-Mid South visited SHS on Friday, November 5th and performed their program "Freedom" for students and faculty. Prior to the program, Petty Officer Keith Boatner re-enlisted in the Navy - Principal Zach Hobbs led Boatner through his enlistment oath.

    The SHS National Honor Society hosted over 50 Veterans and guests at a special Veteran's Day Event on Nov. 11th in the SHS Cafetorium.

    Student Council Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive
    The SHS campus brought in a total of 3,127 canned foods for The Texas Food Pantry! Way to go, Raiders!! The sophomore class had the highest total, with the junior class not far behind. Class totals were as follows: freshmen - 339, sophomores - 1,519 and juniors - 1,269. Thanks to all who participated in this worthy cause!
