• Thank you for visiting my website!

2022-2023 is my 30th year in education and my 15th year in Sunnyvale ISD. I taught 15 years for Mesquite ISD before coming to Sunnyvale. I have taught first, second, third and fifth grade. I was the Instructional Specialist for Sunnyvale Elementary for one year before becoming the Assistant Principal for SES.  I have my Masters Degree in Elementary Education and an Educational Administration certificate.

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Ernie, for 29 years. We have 2 adult boys and we have loved being part of the RAIDER family.

I believe that each student is unique in their own way.  They need a safe, caring, and challenging atmosphere to grow emotionally, intellectually, socially, and physically.  It is our job as educators to meet each child where they are and guide them toward reaching their full potential.  It is important for students to develop self-esteem, sensitivity, creativity, and respect for others.  In our ever changing world, it is important to develop critical thinking, communication and problem solving skills while working collaboratively with others, as well as establishing the ability to work individually.  The ability to change and grow is essential.  Education is a collaborative effort, and the relationship between a school and its community is essential.

Please feel free to email me with any questions you might have.
