I started my educational career in 2012 and joined the Sunnyvale Family in 2020. I have taught intermediate, middle, and high school ELA. 

I have a B.A. in English Literature from Arizona State University and an M.S. in Library Science from the University of North Texas. My certifications include 4-12 English Language Arts and Reading, Generalist EC-6, and School Librarian. 

My goal as a teacher is to create independent and critical thinkers.  I want my students to be able to evaluate information and use it to create well-informed opinions.  I also want to impart a life-long love of learning and literature to my students. 

I am married to my high school sweetheart, James, and we have three children: Elijah, Hanna, and Levi.  All of my children attend Sunnyvale Schools. I am an unapologetic nerd and love Star Wars, Superheros, and all things geeky.
