I am so excited to begin the school year!!!  I have been teaching children since the year 2000 and began working in Sunnyvale ISD in 2015.  I have experience teaching all subject areas in 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th grade.  I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of North Texas in 2000 and my master’s degree in elementary education from A&M Commerce in 2005.  I consider myself a lifelong learner, and I take professional development courses that gear specifically to my students and my classroom on a regular basis. I love watching my students grow and succeed as a result of the things I learn from my own time as a student.

I have been married to my husband, Ian, since 2005. Our son, William, is a student in SISD and we also have a daughter, Charlotte, who was born in 2020.  We reside right here in Sunnyvale and absolutely love our community and neighbors.  :-)  We have three dogs (including our adopted deaf dog!). I also have a class pet!  Shelly our turtle lives in my classroom during the school year.  She loves being around kids and the students learn so much from her care and the interaction they have with this friendly reptile.
