My name is Amy Mayes and this is my eleventh year at SISD as the Elementary school nurse! I have been in other areas of nursing which include: critical care/ICU, home health, eye surgery, endoscopy- GI, and pediatric phone triage.

I attended Harding University in Searcy, AR where I got my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

I am married to my wonderful husband Travis and we have 4 children together. My husband Travis is a firefighter lieutenant  for the city of Mesquite. Our oldest two sons Tripp and Bennett are currently in college in Texas and Arkansas.  Noah is a freshman at Brookhaven early college HS program and Chloe is a 7th grader at Vivian Fields middle school.  I enjoy doing things with my family, cooking and baking  with my husband, reading and exercising!

I love, love, love,  being a school nurse at SISD.  I look forward to caring for your children and seeing their sweet faces everyday.  I am blessed to work for such a great district  and have such amazing friends and coworkers.
