💙💛 SHS rolled out the red carpet to spark excitement for SMS 8th graders on Wednesday, May 14. Future freshmen toured the campus and learned the school fight song from SHS Cheer. They also checked out clubs like Robotics, HOSA, BPA and National Art Honor Society, and learned about all the ways to get involved with Raider Band, theater and choir. We can't wait to see these rising stars bring their energy and spirit to SHS! 💫💙

It's almost summer! Wondering what to do with school-issued devices? Returning SISD students may keep their district-issued devices over the summer and use them next school year.
Please note, students are responsible for any damage or loss that occurs during the summer break.
Parents may monitor their child's device activity or completely disable the device for summer through GoGuardian. For assistance with GoGuardian, contact SISD's Technology Director Buck Baskin at buck.baskin@sunnyvaleisd.com.
Students who are leaving the district must return their devices and chargers to the front office.

SMS Families,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out today to inform you of a concerning and dangerous trend we have recently observed on campus. Over the past few days, we have seen an increase in incidents involving students intentionally damaging school property, specifically electrical outlets, laptops, and bathroom facilities including toilets.
This behavior is not only a serious safety hazard but also a significant disruption to the learning environment. Tampering with electrical outlets poses the risk of electrical shock or fire, and destruction of restroom facilities creates unsanitary conditions and limits access to necessary resources for other students.
Please understand that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated. Any student found intentionally damaging school property will face immediate and appropriate disciplinary consequences in accordance with our student code of conduct. This may include in-school suspension, out-of-school suspension, restitution for damages, or other disciplinary actions as warranted.
We are asking for your support in talking with your child about the seriousness of these actions and the importance of respecting school property. Our goal is to maintain a safe and welcoming learning environment for every student, and that requires cooperation from both school staff and families.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting the safety and excellence of our school community.
Thank you,
Ms. Perez

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! We’re continuing to feel the love! 💌 Check out these notes of gratitude from our amazing parents!
Thank you for recognizing commitment and dedication our teachers bring to the classroom!
