🎶March is Music in Our Schools Month, and we are proud of our Raider Band program! 🎵
From Sunnyvale Middle School to Sunnyvale High School, our SHS and SMS Raider Band students are honing their skills, building confidence, and creating a strong tradition of excellence in music. SHS band members shared what band means to them.
"Band is all about community, but it's also about working towards something beyond academics. It gives you a concrete, achievable goals to work towards." - Ethan Derr, 12, Drum Major
"I have learned a lot about leadership since joining band, and I enjoy teaching the younger members how to march, how to play their instrument; it's a fun teaching experience for me as a section leader.: - Eliana Sandoval, 10
"What I like about band is the community. Joining band has helped me build a community I lacked and make all kinds of friends." - Sydney Wofford

Our SMS 6th Grade Girls Choir brought home FIRST PLACE at the Epic Waters Music Festival! Their hard work, dedication, and beautiful voices truly shined on stage.
Congratulations!

⛳The Sunnyvale Raiders boys golf team showcased strong form at the Lake Highlands Boys DAC Invitational, claiming first place in their division with a standout performance against several notable North Texas programs.
Led by senior Wyatt Moore, who carded an impressive 74 to outpace many of the Dallas-Fort Worth area's top golfers, the Raiders secured the team victory. Their winning effort topped strong competition from schools including Bishop Lynch, Frisco Heritage, and Rowlett High School.
Moore's consistent play anchored the Raiders throughout the event, highlighting the team's depth and determination on the challenging Dallas Athletic Club course. This victory marks a key mid-season success for Sunnyvale as they build momentum in the competitive local high school golf landscape.
